Ivy started to sign “all done” this month, though not necessarily when she meant it!
Zane loves to yell, “I need ya!” to me as he runs to the potty.
Cora got to take home the monkey for her classroom spotlight in February, and she loved to play with it! Zane wanted in on the action too:
Zane likes to say both parts of a conversation with Ivy, like: (normal Zane voice): Ivy, what you doin? (higher Zane voice), I don’t know!
Cora read her own talk at church this month and I was so proud!
Zane LOVES to take pictures of me:
Ivy finally learned how to go downstairs this month after knowing how to go up stairs for about a month.
Zane likes to say, “Oh my gosh!” and “I so sorry” immediately after doing something he knows he shouldn’t:
I laid out a bunch of shirts that would match the pants Cora had picked out to wear when she tells me, “I don’t like matching!” and purposefully picked out a very non-matching shirt from the drawer
Ivy likes to pull her car seat cover open a little so she can see through it just a bit:
Hyrum has been pretty obsessed with the Lego Jurassic Park computer game this month and spent quite a bit of time getting every possible character and dinosaur in the game.
Cora had her kindergarten music program and was so cute up there, singing all the songs and dancing! She even got to say a little part about “please” being the magic word at her house:
We had a great Valentine’s Day! We had donuts for breakfast, and we gave the kids some candy and heart balloons. Then the kids brought their Valentine boxes to school and enjoyed having a party there and giving out Valentine’s:
The littles and I decorated Valentine’s cookies at playgroup that day, and then we celebrated with Daddy the next evening since he had to work the night of Valentine’s Day. At our fancy pasta dinner we opened all the love notes we had written to each other. It was a great holiday!
Children’s Museum visit:
Ivy likes to stick out her tongue (it’s pretty cute) and also started folding her arms at prayer time:
We had an Olympics party last minute the day before the Olympics ended, and we had a blast! There was ski jumping, speed skating, and some tabletop curling:
When I asked Cora what she wanted for her birthday, she told me she wants a witch Barbie. I assume all this Harry Potter reading is finally making an impact!
When I was upset one evening, and Hyrum saw me crying, he suggested that I pray so Heavenly Father could help me feel better. Such a sweet boy!
Hyrum earned his Bobcat award for Cub Scouts this month, plus participated in a little skit with the Bears:
Cora did not want to pose for these Valentine’s pictures, but she does make a pretty cute scowl anyways!
