Ivy’s birthday is on Pi Day, so since Daddy worked on Ivy’s actual birthday, we just gave her a piece of pie to celebrate with on that day. She kind of liked it:
We celebrated as a family the next day with going out to breakfast (Ivy loves pancakes):
She got some cake after a quesadilla dinner (another Ivy favorite), but as soon as we set the cake in front of her she was terrified of it:
So we took the cake away, let her calm down, and Ryan finally managed to get her to eat some of a smaller deconstructed cupcake.
She did like her presents! And she had LOTS of help:
She got a water table, some new outfits, a hooded Minnie towel and bath supplies from the Schuetzlers, and a stuffed Chihuahua the kids picked out for her:
Ivy Adelle is such an angel and a blessing to our family. All the kids love her and always want to hold her and play with her and make her laugh, and she adores getting attention from them. She is generally sweet tempered and easy going. She is super scared of strangers holding her, balloons, balls, long sticks like light sabers and fun noodles, and apparently birthday cake somewhat shaped like a ball. Ivy loves to scream and wrestle with the kids and Daddy when it’s “tackle time.” She’s a great sleeper and loves to eat, especially quesadillas, yogurt, bananas, berries, salmon and string cheese. She can wave, make kissing noises, crawl, cruise, sign “more” and “all done,” and just give the biggest, cheesiest, cutest smiles and laughs. She loves her Daddy, loves to be held, loves to get into the kitchen cabinets, and loves to be tickled.
