We had a very cold and snowy February. In fact, it was the snowiest February ever in NE, and the snowiest Dec- Feb. ever in NE. It was also really cold! We still managed to have fun though!
I love these 4 cuties with all my heart:
Hyrum made an "I hate Fortnite" club at school (because he's one of the few in his class that doesn't get to play that video game), and by so doing made another best friend.
Ivy has started to give side glances when someone is saying something she doesn't like, it's hilarious!
Ivy has also taken to this Dora Backpack, that was a present for Cora when she was almost exactly the same age as Ivy! (Ivy on the L, Cora on the R)
Hyrum got this note in the mail from his teacher at school, and it made me so happy to know that Hyrum is such a kind person!
Cora has started doing Zane's reading lessons with him when I'm too busy. She really likes being the teacher! She even loves giving the Family Home Evening lesson because it's another chance to be "teacher."
Zane kept asking me this month, "Can I marry you?"
Cora likes to make little nests in corners of the house, usually including a small blanket, pillow, books, and stuffed animals.
For Chinese New Year this year, I picked up some Chinese food and brought it to eat lunch with Daddy at work, and Zane and Ivy came along:
Everyone loves Daddy tackle time!
Zane has started to say "I noticed that" where someone would usually say "I know that."
Ivy likes to "write" O and B, and her counting usually goes something like, "4, 3, 4, 1."
Hat bowl!
The kids have had 6 snow days since January, and there was lots of snow, so we had lots of fun playing in it!
After so many snow days, the kids even got tired of the usual snow activities, so they tried spray painting the snow (with tinted water):
We tried sledding on a new hill:
The kids even sledded down on our driveway one day when the whole thing was covered in a thick sheet of ice:
One Saturday we even got a blizzard!
You can't see our bench that's under the tree, because it's covered in that much snow!
I had to help with the snow shoveling after the blizzard because it was hard, long work. Here I am trying to get through the snow that was up to my knees or higher:
To entertain themselves on snow days, the kids did lots of different things. They played a live version of Mario Party (the pillows are the game squares to move around on):
We had extravagant, make-your-own ice cream sundaes, which were a huge hit with the kids:
On one of our million snow days this month, the kids even finally went through all of their old school papers:
Cora lose her first tooth this month! It happened while she was eating a Starburst on Valentine's Day. She's been waiting and hoping that it would happen for so long!
Cora also had another mini meet for gymnastics this month, and she did a great job!
Ryan and I went on a date this month to his work party, then had dessert at Red Robin:
Hyrum loves to floss, and can be caught multiple times a week flossing for no reason without even any music playing!
Snug little bugs in a rug:
Hyrum told me this month that he wants to invent something to make himself rich, and then he wants to be a veterinarian. Then he tried to combine the words, and called himself an in'vet'or!
The kids had Spirit week at school, and here's what they wore on Wear Red day:
Cora had her music program this month! She was such a ham up on stage, smiling and making so many salient facial expressions, and dancing her little heart out. She also said her line perfectly and from memorization!
Zane likes to eat Mini Wheats for breakfast, except he calls them "Mee-ma" Wheats, which I think it so cute.
Zane has been doing co-op preschool with me and 4 other moms, and for S week they learned about Superheroes. Here he is, rocking it as Spiderman!
