We went to a Schuetzler Family Reunion in June in Rapid City, South Dakota and had a great time! We had to leave in the afternoon on a Friday, so we didn't get in until around 1 am. The next morning, however, as soon as all the cousins were awake, they were excited to play together:
The first thing we did was head off to Bear Country, USA!
We saw lots of bears and other animals:
The bear cubs were climbing this tree; it was so cute!
After Bear Country, we headed to The Cosmos (a most mysterious place with a strong, unexplained force). While we waited for our tour, Ryan took the kids up and down this hill:
Hyrum helped show how the strange phenomenon makes people seem taller than they are:
This house built on a hill made for some fun pictures and made it hard to walk too!
Cora got to demonstrate walking up these blocks:
Zane got to help demonstrate how things aren't exactly level:
We all had some lunch at Culver's after our strange experience at the Cosmos, and the kids were loving getting some ice cream:
After lunch, we went to the Reptile Gardens. It was a pretty cool place!
We saw lots of different kinds of reptiles:
We even got to see a guy wrestle an alligator and feed them while he was in the cage!
The kids got to be up close and personal with a small alligator:
We saw Mt. Rushmore this day too! At least, the small Reptile Gardens version:

The kids played in their small frontier village for awhile:
We also went to a bird show and a snake show. The kids really loved the playground too:
It was cool to get up close and personal with a giant tortoise:
We also saw some more of their gardens and reptiles!
When we got back to the cabin Grandma and Grandpa rented, the kids had a blast in the hot tub!
It was a really fun first day!
