We got home from ND just in time for Ryan's birthday! He got a Hawaiian shirt, Marvel socks, and he's going to get a bike once we move to Utah!
We weren't able to have a cheesecake party like we usually do for Ryan's birthday, but I still made him a chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake (with 35 candles):
We had a fun water balloon fight as a family activity with over 400 balloons to celebrate:
Ryan got a nap and ended his birthday with an online computer game night with friends, so I think he had a pretty great day!
A couple weeks later we celebrated Father's Day (it was actually the day before Father's Day because I left for UT on Father's Day), Ryan got crepes for his breakfast in bed:
To celebrate Father's Day we took a short jaunt over to Lincoln. We first stopped at the Sunken Gardens. It was small, but pretty:
We all pretended to be a statue on the pedestal:
The kids enjoyed the Koi fish:
It had a fun gazebo too:
Next we went to Memorial Stadium, the home of the Cornhuskers. We always planned on going to a football game here, but since we never would have guessed that we'd move this summer, we missed our chance. But we did get to see the outside of the stadium!
A glimpse of the field through the gate:
We went to Hurts Donuts for our last stop, where we got a dozen yummy donuts!
Twinners!
We ended the day with a socially distanced ward activity- BOM Bingo from our cars!
It was great to celebrate such a wonderful husband and dad in June! He deserves so much celebration!
