Google's Then and Nows for the month:
Hyrum February 2018 and August 2020-
Summer 2019 and Summer 2020:
The kids found a new way to get down the stairs:
Sweet big sister:
We had a neighbor and an old friend bring us Crumbl cookies to welcome us to Utah on the same night! We felt very welcomed. And they are delicious.
Ivy is such a cute little sleeper:
We looked for new couches at a couple places this month. We ended up buying some, but we won't actually get them until November;
It was fun to take the kids to see a few nearby temples:
The kids started school this month! They are required (by the state) to wear masks all day long, except recess and eating lunch. They started at a new school here in Vineyard where they wear uniforms- and they did get used to them pretty quickly!
After school the kids' first day we went to get Subzero ice cream to celebrate. The kids thought the steam was SO cool!
I did bubbles with the younger two one morning:
I also took the younger two kids back to the Natural History Museum one morning because Zane really wanted to hunt for gnomes (though the gnomes were pretty much impossible to find):
Zane started kindergarten the week after the older two started school. Kindergarten is only half day here, and the school day is already short, so Zane is actually in school less than he was in preschool last year! We don't mind- we love having him home!
Ivy is doing preschool at home with me this year! I would usually be doing a co-op, but since we just moved here and I don't really know anyone, plus we're trying to stay away from people due to Covid, I just decided to teach only her at home. She is LOVING it, and wants to do it every time, all the time!
Our last shaved ice of the summer!
Ryan looks so fly in my sunglasses:
The kids love to do Just Dance with me!
Uncle Dallen gave Hyrum a tie he didn't want, so now Hyrum has decided he wants to learn to tie a tie and wear a real tie every Sunday!
Extra time on Sundays sometimes means family game time!
I have been promising Ivy that she could start dance class this fall for close to a year, and she has not forgotten it. So, I did end up putting her in a class at a local studio- but she only has three girls in her class, and we're the only class in the studio at the time, so hopefully we're not too at risk with Covid. She LOVES it, and spent the whole rest of the day after her first class talking about her class, her teacher, and showing off her arabesque.
