Last Summer Adventures of 2020

We got to do a few more fun summer things once we got to Utah before school started. There's a cool splash pad and park near our house that we went to one morning, and the kids had a blast:

Early one Saturday morning we went to Bridal Veil Falls in Provo canyon. It was beautiful, but cold! We started on this trail, thinking it was an easy trail I had read about that takes you to the top of the falls. It very quickly got difficult, steep, and had lots of loose rocks, so we turned around:

Turns out the actual trail to the falls is just a wide, paved, path, so it's SUPER easy. And pretty!

The kids have been excited to go to the dinosaur museum since I told them about it months ago, so we made a stop there before school started:

We went to the Dripping Rock in Spanish Fork one morning, and the water was cold, but fun!

Our traditional camp-in-the-backyard right before school starts activity:

When I asked the kids what one thing they wanted to do before school started, they all said "swim!" So, after asking around on Facebook, I found a pool we could rent in Lehi. It was small, but the kids had fun. We also got to swim another time with some old friends at their parents' pool, but I didn't get any pictures of that.

Ivy only likes to swim for a little bit, then she likes to sit on the side, watch, and eat snacks. Just like her momma ;)

Though this was definitely a weird summer, and I wouldn't want to repeat it, we still had a great time with lots of adventures- and so much family time we wouldn't have had otherwise! There's always a silver lining!
