Google's Then and Nows for the month:
We watched the Olympics a ton this month, and celebrated one night by having food from around the world for dinner, including these delicious chocolate croissants:
We got a big rain storm! Probably only our second since we moved to Utah, so we all went out on the porch to watch the rain pour down:
Ivy loves to draw:
Zane's snake moustache:
Cora has been asking/begging for years to do a lemonade stand, and in August, her dream came true. She made the poster, the lemonade, and the cookies, plus made it all happen. It went great- they sold all the lemonade and almost all the cookies:
CF appointment! The outpatient center in SLC has a pretty view of the valley:
Ryan and I celebrated our 14th anniversary this month! We had big plans to do something cool, but it got thwarted by sickness (for weeks really), so we'll have to go big next year to celebrate:Last swim lessons/swim team at the Scera for the summer:
Cora's turn for cooking camp! She made crockpot mac n' cheese and did a great job!
We finished our summer fun list! And celebrated the last Saturday of summer with an outing to the Lindon recreation pool:

Ivy finally had her dance recital! It got pushed back from May because of Covid, so it was definitely time. She was adorable, she loved it, and she did a really great job!
Grandma and Grandpa Martin and Aunt Mindi even got to come watch her perform!Back to School night for Ivy! She is starting at a normal preschool this year, and they had a really cute set-up:
We had a delicious and fun back-to-school dinner before Father's blessings before school started!
Ivy started school first- here's her first day of school pictures! She is loving it!
First day of school for the older three!
At school, it was so fun- their school put out the red carpet for them:
Lining up in their new classes!
Ivy only has preschool three days a week, so on one of the other days we have "Mommy and Ivy day." That's where we pick somewhere fun to go together and usually end up going out to lunch too (yes, yes, the youngest gets so spoiled). Our first Mommy and Ivy day we went to the Orem library:
We also met up with my cousin and her kids at the splash pad one afternoon, and the older kids ended up meeting us there on their way home:
Little pout-pout/the selfie queen:
Everyone loves waffles, especially this girl:
Ivy and Zane started soccer this month! They both love it so much (mostly for the treats)! The air was also super gross for almost all of August due to fires in California:
We had fun on a different date night too, trying Macs A La Mode:
After camping we discovered all of our air mattresses have irreparable holes, so we let the kids play on this one for awhile before we threw it out:
Ivy and Cora finally earned their summer reading dates this month! Ivy chose to go to Hang Time with Ryan:
Then they hit Costa Vida for dinner, where Ivy enjoyed stealing Ryan's ranch:
Here's Cora's cake getting covered in fondant:
Her and Ryan had a really fun time decorating!
Then they got Chubby's for dinner! The girls had a great time getting some one-on-one time in with their Dad, and I'm proud of them for reaching their reading goals!
