One night Ryan took Hyrum to the "Haunted Car Wash." They waited in line for like an hour, but they did get a unique experience!
Ryan is an activity leader for the young boys in our church, so he threw an awesome Halloween party for the boys one night at our house:
For one Ivy and Mommy day in October, we went to Gardner Village to see the witches:
Grandma and Grandpa Martin and Auntie Mindi were in town for Halloween this year, so they got to carve pumpkins with us!
Hyrum made a Star Wars logo pumpkin:
Zane made a Gengar (Pokemon) pumpkin:
I made a Mandalorian pumpkin:
Cora made an Eevee (Pokemon) pumpkin:
Ivy made a princess face, complete with crown and eyelashes:
Here they are all lit up:
Before trick or treating, we had a fun spooky dinner, with a charcuterie board, witch's finger breadsticks, jack-o-lantern veggies, and orange lemonade:
Here's the whole Star Wars fam!
Darth Zane:
"Girl Chewbacca" as Ivy liked to call it:
Obi-Wan Ke-Hyrum:
Co-Rey:
And Han Solo and Leia:
Here's the handing out candy crew:
Trick or treating!

The candy haul:
Halloween was actually on Sunday this year, so we trick or treated and all that the day before, then on Sunday we had a little Halloween party with just our little family:
We did pin the face on the jack-o-lantern:
We also did mummy bowling:
And Halloween Bingo!
The kids had chances to paint pumpkins a few different ways this October- Hyrum even painted galaxy pumpkins at his class party (which I was in charge of):
We had a really fun Halloween time this year, and I'm glad it was a lot more normal than last year!
