February 2022

We had a fun February!

Loved this Google Then and Now:

For one of our Mommy/Ivy days in February, we checked out the indoor playground at University Mall:

On a different Mommy/Ivy day we went to the Natural Curiosity Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Ivy always loves to play in the vet center:

I worked at the elementary school's book fair a lot the beginning of March, and Ivy got to come with me a lot of times. We both thought this set up was cute:

We went swimming as a family at the Orem Rec Center one Saturday!

Cuties playing with blocks:

Zane made these binoculars in class one day:

We spent a lot of the month celebrating and watching the winter Olympics! We watched Cool Runnings for a pizza night right before the Olympics started, and it inspired the kids to practice their own bobsledding:

We also had an Olympics party! We participated in some winter Olympic "events," like bobsledding:
Curling:
Cross country skiing:
Biathlon:
We also had a little (broom) hockey too! Everyone brought food from different countries for dinner, and we had an awesome spread. Chicken satay and rice from Thailand, crepes and eclairs from France, arepas de queso from Columbia, seven layer dip and chips, tamales, and plantain chips from Mexico, mochi from Japan, and stroopwafels from Holland. It was so yummy:

Everyone got candy and medals for their participation, and we had a fun time:

We went ice skating one Saturday when they also happened to be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Olympics in SLC, so we had some extra fun there:

We got to hold an actual torch from the SLC Olympics!!

We also took some pictures like the real Olympians:

I got to go on a fun Galentine's outing to karoake one night this month with some neighborhood gals:

I took all the kids to the Natural Curiosity Museum this month. They had fun playing with all of the exhibits:

One weekend we got to go swimming in my Aunt Karen's pool and hot tub. They have a dome over the top now so the pool stays nice and warm, but it makes it pretty foggy inside:

Ryan and the kids all participated in a polar plunge. They all hung out in the hot tub, then rolled around in the snow, then came back to the hot tub. They're crazy!

We got to go to a BYU basketball game one night with about 60 people from my family and extended family (my parents, Mindi, plus aunts, uncles, and cousins). We had a fun time cheering on our team to a win! And Ivy and her little 2nd cousins looked adorable:

BYU's MIS department's Instagram page asked their students what their favorite IS class was, and Ryan was so honored to have his class make the list (404):

They also announced in the middle of the day one day this month that students and professors no longer needed to wear masks to class, and Ryan found it hilarious that someone was so excited about this that they just dropped their mask in the middle of the hall and left it in celebration. Yay for no more masks!

These little cuties fell asleep one afternoon at the same time, and the event needed to be documented:
