The kids had an extra few days off of school one weekend in February, so we decided to head to Rexburg to visit our sisters! We made a quick stop to see the temple in Pocatello while we were there getting Panera bread (for Hyrum). It was very pretty!
We also went to the ice castle in LaBelle, and it was pretty cool!
The kids got to meet Elsa and Olaf there:
At the ice castle place, you could also pet a reindeer, which the kids enjoyed:
And there was a little sledding hill that Zane and Ivy tried out:
Then we all took a ride on a one horse open sleigh through some woods:
The sleigh took us to a second spot, where there was some tubing, hot chocolate, and pretty little vignettes like this bridge:
The ice castle was pretty all lit up for night time too:
While at Mindi's house, the kids really enjoyed playing with her VR and video games:
They also loved putting together some of her Legos:
The last morning we were there we were able to go sledding on a hill at a gold course near Mindi's house. It was the best sledding we did all winter!
On our way out of town we stopped to have lunch at Jaker's with Maren and Andrew. It was delicious! We were pleasantly surprised that some of our picky eaters even ordered steak and tried a spicy Asian chicken!
We had a fun little weekend visiting family in Idaho!
