Summer Fun 2024- Part 2

We had a lot of extra fun in July- including lots of hikes and lake time! I took the kids to the Battle Creek Falls hike, and it was short and sweet and ended with some fun in the water:

Of course, we got ice cream as a reward after. We tried a new ice cream place called Spilled Milk, and it was yummy:

We went to Bear Lake with some friends for a weekend, and we discovered what an amazing place Bear Lake is! There were a ton of mosquitoes in our house rental, so Ryan had to vacuum them up to reduce the amount of bites we all got:

Fun at Bear Lake on the North Shore!

Hyrum and Ryan participated in a race on tiny kid kayaks to see who could make it across, even though they were all pretty much capsizing. It was pretty funny:

First time for all of us to go out kayaking/SUP together at the same time!

The place we stayed had a couple of fun pool, an indoor playground, and pickleball that the kids enjoyed using as well:

We had fun playing games and hanging with friends:

We had to try some of the famous eats around Garden City:

We had a great time in Bear Lake!

We hiked Payson Grotto Falls with a friend, and it was such a short and sweet hike:

Ice cream at Macey's for a treat:

We had an Olympics party at our house in honor of the Paris Olympics starting this month! Cora made us some crepes for it (her first time)!

We decorated with Olympics colors and flags, had gold, silver, and bronze medals and candies, and had international food:

We played some Olympic games, like some races (divided by age group):

Balloon volleyball:

Ribbon dancing:

We also did trampoline, shooting, soccer, ultimate frisbee, and more! Everyone got a lot of medals:

We went on the Limber Pine hike near Logan when we were up there for the wedding with cousins:

It was an easy hike with some bendy trees:

There was a bunch of cairns that the kids had fun messing with:

Cool leaf we found:

Beautiful valley views on the hike:
We ended up getting some raspberry shakes in Garden City after the hike, and they were delicious!

I love hiking and laking with the kids in the summer! And we really love the Olympics!
