December 2024

December was a super busy month, but still good! Hyrum qualified in the 200 Fly for Senior State for club swimming, so Ryan took him to St. George for the meet. He did a great job!

Hyrum also had a bunch of high school meets and dinners for the high school swim team this month:

New colors on the braces:

Ivy was writing things on post-its at Zane's volleyball game and handing them to Hyrum who then stuck them on his face. The things kids do to entertain themselves:

Cora dressed as Rapunzel for cheer practice one day:

Zane's Vineyard volleyball season ended this month. He did so great, and by the end he hardly missed a serve!

Cora had her cheer showcase this month, and she was so lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa Schuetzler there to watch:

Ivy and Zane got little insects to put together at a fast food place this month that they thought were cool:

Cora had her first cheer competition of the season, and she did great! Her team had a couple of falls though, so they placed 6th:

Cora got Student of the Day this month! There is only one student chosen out of the whole school each day, and Cora got chosen! Her math teacher chose her because she is awesome!

The jr high had a "bring anything but a backpack" spirit day at school, and Hyrum brought his cello case and Cora brought a cooler. Cora looked hilarious carrying that to the car after school:

I got to take the kids to lunch one day on an early-out day at the jr high because Ryan was out of town. We had a great lunch at Pizza Pie Cafe:

Hyrum got to go with his young men's group to the basketball court at BYU. They even got to play on the big court:

Ryan and I went with his swim friends to karaoke one night this month and it was a lot of fun. Ryan sang a few songs from Wicked, and it was chosen for me to sing "Inactive" by Weird Al.

Hyrum grew this flower from a bulb, and he was so proud with how big it got and how pretty all the flowers were when they bloomed!

We had a great snow day the day after Christmas, and we all enjoyed playing in it. There was shoveling:

Cora went on her date this month with Ryan. They went to Pizza Pie Cafe and rock climbing:

Ryan and I finally got our pottery back from our pottery making date. They turned out ok!

Hyrum got his learner's driving permit at the end of the month!!! YAY!!!! One step closer to him driving.

All the kids had a late night with friends over for the Christmas break. Ivy and her friends did some karaoke:

Hyrum went to his first formal dance this month (multi-stake dance) and he looked so handsome!

Our family went skiing for the first time together (and the kids first time ever). We were so glad that Dallen and Grandpa Schuetzler could come with us too. We all loved it and now the kids wish we could go all the time:

We asked the kids to bring in a bunch of eggs from the garage fridge, and they really brought a LOT:

Ryan and his students worked on a big service project before their big end-of-year project and it was really cool!

We went on a group date to a go-kart race place and it was so much fun. I even got second place from our group!

We had a fun and full December!
