For Christmas Eve we started the morning at a bakery in downtown Provo where we got delicious pastries, then we headed to the ice rink:
All the kids have gotten so much better at ice skating, and even Ivy can go for a little bit by herself!
The kids were obsessed with playing Uno over winter break, so we played some of that on Christmas Eve, where Ryan got this crazy hand:
We decorated some sugar cookies for Santa:
The cookies turned out pretty great:
We had homemade pretzels and charcuterie by the Christmas tree as usual for Christmas Eve dinner:
Then we acted out the Nativity. Cora was a sheep, Hyrum was a shepherd, Ivy was the angel, Zane was the narrator, Tricia was Mary, and Ryan was Joseph.
Then everyone opened their new ornament for the year. Ivy got Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz since she says it's her favorite movie and she was Dorothy for Halloween:
Zane got a Dude Perfect ornament (his favorite YouTube show):
Cora got a Cedar Point ornament in honor of her 12-year-old trip:
Hyrum got a piano since he's really grown to love playing the piano this year:
Matching pajamas on Christmas Eve!
Milk and cookies for Santa:
The next morning the kids loved all of their presents! Ivy got a bean bag chair from Santa:
Cora got a Minky Couture blanket:
Hyrum got a Bluetooth speaker:
Ryan (and all of us) got a huge TV for the basement:
I got a karaoke speaker:
We spent the rest of the day playing with our new things. We also had a delicious steak dinner:
That night we did our Christmas lights scavenger hunt and then watched A Christmas Story in the basement on the new TV.
Ivy loved her new bean bag chair she carried it everywhere for a few days and even fell asleep on it on Christmas night:
It was a great, relaxing Christmas, and the best part was enjoying it together!
