Zane's 11th Birthday

Zane had a great birthday this year, and we loved celebrating him!

He had his birthday party the day before his actual birthday at our local church building:

Zane opened a lot of fun presents from his friends:

I made a soccer field cake for him as Zane requested for his party, and he did the lines on top and placed the players. It was a vanilla cake with a vanilla pudding mousse inside. I thought it turned out pretty cool!

The kids played regular soccer, chair soccer, and Tri-Ball:

At the end of the party, we gave out trophies with individualized awards on them that Hyrum and Cora had come up with while watching the kids play during the party. Zane's was, "Best Birthday Kid."

The next day we celebrated Zane's birthday with breakfast in bed (crepes and cookies and cream milk):

Then he got to open his presents! He got a goal rebounder, some books,  ties you have to tie yourself, a soccer stuffie, a Lamine Yamal jersey set, a Liverpool soccer ball and his favorite gift: an Ekitike soccer jersey.

That night we had Dallen and Cami over and we had the special dinner he picked out: chicken tacos and quesadillas, lettuce, blue Kool-Aid, berries, and fruit dip. He also got a strawberry swirl cheesecake for dessert, plus Half Baked ice cream:

He was so excited about this outfit, he wanted lots of pictures in it:

A week or so later we took the whole family to TruReligion to celebrate his birthday at a restaurant (which we were supposed to do the day before his birthday but we were too tired). He loved it, especially this s'mores hot chocolate:

Zane is funny, smart, cool, quick to forgive, loves being silly, will try anything, and has such a great amount of faith in Heavenly Father. He is OBSESSED with soccer and lives and breathes it lately. He said his greatest moment this year was making his club soccer team! He also loves graphic novels based on historical events, everything sugary, playing outside with friends, Liverpool, Dude Perfect and Mark Rober, and wearing backwards baseball hats. He is such a great kid, and we're so glad he's ours!
