We had a full and fun May! Zane finished up his first season on a Liverpool club soccer team, and Grandma and Grandpa Martin got to come watch:
Ryan took Zane to a Real Salt Lake game!Ivy went to watch a few of her old dance friends at their new studio's performance:
While I was out of town at Cora's national cheer competition, Ivy had her last dance competition, so Ryan and Ivy worked together to do her dance hair and makeup. They did a pretty good job!
She did great at her last dance competition on Petites!
The girls had fun going to lunch and hanging out with each other waiting for the awards:
Ryan was a great Dance Dad too:
Ivy helped Ryan put together a good primary lesson, so she got to go to his class to help with it:
Cora had her end-of-year banquet for cheer, where they had a good dinner, danced, and got awards. Cora got the "Future Coach" award for her J2 team and the "Got Your Back" award for her J3 team:
I was at Cora's cheer competition for Mother's Day this month, so I got to celebrate at home later. Ryan and Ivy took me to Maria Bonita's for a Mother's Day meal:
And we all went to Bridal Veil Falls together to celebrate as well:
We went to a friend's daughter's graduation party this month, where we mostly just talked to Ryan's friends and ate good food:
Ryan decided to take on a home project in the backyard this month, where he dug out this random patch of grass and moved our garden boxes over there. It turned out great! Here's the before:
And after:
Ryan took the three older kids and a couple of their friends to a World Cup "Friendly" that they held at BYU- it was fun to see the players that we later saw on TV actually playing in the real World Cup! It was South Korea vs. Trinidad and Tobago, and South Korea won!
Cora had her cheer showcase this month, and she had so many friends and family come watch her!
We put the porch swing together that I got for Christmas this past year, and we have all been loving it:
We celebrated May the Fourth this year with our usual Star Wars treats and movie:
Zane got to do an escape room with his Young Men's group this month!
Hyrum built this cool mobile as a final project for his art class. Each part describes him in some way. I thought it turned out so cool! There's a piece of DNA (for his CF and love of science), music notes, swim team card, pencil (for his love of drawing), an origami dragon (for his love of fantasy), and more!
Zane got an award for memorizing so many things about America (including the preamble to the Constitution). We are so proud of him and all of his hard work!
The last week of school, both elementary student kids got an award, Zane for being a good member of the Kind Squad this year, and Ivy got the Mathematician Award for her class!
Last day of school! Zane loved his teacher, Mrs. Priest, and he hopes to have her again next year since she's moving up to 6th grade! And a picture with his friend, Peter:
Ivy loved her teacher this year too- Ms. McHood. And she needed a picture with her friends too:
Our neighborhood had a fun slip n' slide and ice cream end of the school year activity, and Ivy had a great time!
Cora went to the temple with the young women this month:
Zane tried out for Liverpool soccer club again and made his same team (yay)! Ivy tried out at Studio 1 again and she made the Elites and Rookies teams!
Cuties:

Hyrum and Zane had a great time at Young Men's camp! They played 9-square, did a zip line, worked together to do an obstacle course, went on a little hike, and more:
We made a homemade flag pizza in honor of Memorial Day this month:
My UJam workout class had a fun little picnic after class one day this month:
The last week of May, all the big kids were gone at their camps, so me and Ivy did some fun things together. She got to take a friend to Hang Time:
And we did a fun craft making these frames with beads:
Cora had a great time at FSY at Snow College:
Hyrum and Zane had a great time at Young Men's camp! They played 9-square, did a zip line, worked together to do an obstacle course, went on a little hike, and more:
Part of the obstacle course was this tall wall that they had to work together to climb. Hyrum put a lot of work in to helping the younger kids over! And Zane even became a step to help make it happen:
