New words: the definite favorite- “off”, out, eyes, wa-wa (water), cheese, Oreo, and more that he doesn’t say very often so I can’t think of them.
Back when Hyrum wasn’t eating, I thought I would try letting him have complete freedom with a spoon and some yogurt and see if he would eat it then. He didn’t eat anything, but he did get very messy!
Made up his own sign language for washing hands, and he always does it because he always wants to play in the water!
When I’m cooking anything, Hyrum always wants to “help.” To keep him from hurting himself and preventing dinner from being made, one day I let him stir some rice in a bowl. That turned out to be not a great idea:
Went to the occupational therapist, and that same day he miraculously started eating again. He’s like a real boy now, who eats and everything!
Gets into my drawers so he can brush his hair, put on my makeup, pull out Ziplocs from the box, and play with the pot holders.
Hyrum really likes hats these days, and one day he pulled his winter hat out of the drawer and was determined to wear it. It’s 85 degrees outside! He even wore it to the park that day and we got some smiles from our neighbors for it.
Loves watching TV (he only gets to watch during his treatments) and playing on the computer (a little ABCs game on the Fisher Price website). I can’t believe how technologically inclined he already is!
