Hyrum and I went to Disneyland with my parents and niece, Savanah, and we had a great time! We stayed at the Castle Inn and Suites, and there was a cool throne and suit of armor in the lobby.
We went to CA Adventures the first day:
Here’s the “chew-chew” train in Flik’s Bug fair (I think that’s what it’s called):
Hyrum has come to love carousels. However, he’s still kind of scared on them. Here’s the face he made when I told him to smile:
The second day we went to Disneyland. Wahoo! I can’t quite put my finger on why, but Disneyland is about a billion times better than CA Adventures.
We did the teacups, and I didn’t even get sick :)
We went to the Blue Bayou for lunch and ordered their Monte Cristo sandwiches. So very yummy!
Hyrum finally made it to the park (after a nap and lunch at the hotel) and we took some must-have castle pictures:
Hyrum loved Tarzan’s tree house, mostly because he loved going up and down all the steps.
I had a hard time getting Hyrum to look at me for pictures, mostly because he was so interested in everything around him.
This is the best picture of his face during the rides/attractions. He was just enthralled with everything, and only got scared a few times!
Jungle cruise:
Small World, where Hyrum kept pointing at everything and dancing to the music:
Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride:
The 2nd carousel ride of the trip:
Autopia (he wouldn’t hold onto the wheel very long because it would shake the car every time it hit a median, so I mostly had to steer):
This is how Hyrum was every time we had to leave a ride- he never wanted to get off! He also would want to get on the ride as soon as we saw it, and had a hard time getting the idea that we had to keep waiting in line.
Hyrum got some chocolate on the way home, and it sure made him a happy camper:
Hyrum and Savanah slept a lot of the way home, and I don’t blame them. So tiring!
