We spent our second day at California Adventure, and once we got there, we went straight to Midway Mania. Hyrum definitely loved it! I do have to say, I had the highest score of my family on all of the arcade type games, which is surprising for me! If Ryan had been there, I wouldn’t have had a chance!
We also went on the Mickey Ferris Wheel. Both Mindi and I are terrified of heights, so we started taking pictures to distract ourselves, hence why there are so many Hyrum, Siona, and my dad decided they wanted to go on the swinging gondolas, while me and Mindi and Cora went on the stationary ones. We only went around about half a turn when it seemed the ferris wheel went backward. Mindi and I thought that maybe someone hadn’t been able to handle it so they had to get off. Once we exited the ride, we found out it was Hyrum having such a panic attack that they stopped the ride and reversed it so he could get off! Siona was not very happy about her shortened ride, so she went on it again with my mom and dad later so she could get the full ride.
You have to get a fast pass to meet Anna and Elsa, and they aupposedly run out, so that was one of the first things we did when we got inside CA Adventures. The kids liked meeting them! This was on Cora’s birthday, so she asked Elsa if they would sing her ‘Happy Birthday,’ but Anna said they were working on being able to sing it in reindeer, so it wasn’t ready to be heard yet. Lol!
Turtle Talk with Crush! This was also right after we almost lost Cora in the Animation building and I burst into tears because she was nowhere to be found. A nice mother found her outside of the building and brought her back. Let me tell you, losing your kid at Disneyland brings a major panic attack! I am so glad she was only gone a few minutes! Heavenly Father was definitely watching out for us.
They met Doc McStuffins, and she was funny, tickling the kids with Siona’s feathery pen:
Cars Land! One of Hyrum’s favorite rides was the Radiator Springs Racers, and I have to admit- it’s pretty awesome! The kids also liked Mator’s Junkyard Jamboree and the line was short so they rode it a couple of times:
Meeting Mater and Red:
Flo’s Diner:
Then we went to Bug’s Land, which is possibly my kids’ favorite place in CA Adventures. Hyrum wanted to ride this bumper car thing again and again!
Ladybug spin ride:
Another one we rode multiple times- Heimlich’s Chew Chew Train! I think it was Zane’s favorite ride:
Splash pad!
Meeting Jake:
They had a Frozen sing-along, which I thought was going to be live-action but it turns out they just play the song clips from the movie. It was still nice to sit in an air conditioned area, and the kids liked it, so it was fine
Zane fell asleep on the Monsters Inc. ride with Grandpa, which was really cute:
Pixar Parade!
Meeting Olaf with Aunty Mindi, yay!
They also had a snowy area around where you meet Olaf, and the kids really wanted to play in it. It was actually all ice, and pretty crowded, so I moved the kids along quickly knowing that they will have plenty of snow and ice to play in in Nebraska!
Funny story about this Goofy- he was apparently following me while I was pushing Zane and I didn’t know it. I thought I saw something from the corner of my eye, so I turned around and saw this big thing right behind me, so I screamed and totally freaked Goofy out so much so that he almost fell to the ground! Both Goofy and I had to recover a little after that, and his attendant kept apologizing for him, but I was just laughing at my jumpiness!
Carousel, again
Last ride of the day- the Chew Chew train again!
