Here he is opening presents on the morning of his birthday:
He got a Little People Noah’s Ark, some new shoes, and a new outfit. He had some eager helpers:
On his actual birthday, he got one Oreo. I left the kitchen for a minute and returned to find this:
I think he enjoyed it.
He got his smash cake in ND when we were visiting the Schuetzlers for Thanksgiving. He didn’t mind the singing, but wasn’t into his cake too much at first.
Eventually, he did eat some and even threw half of it on the ground, so I’ll call it a successful first birthday.
Aunt Megan and Grandma Schuetzler even decorated for Zane’s first birthday!
He got more presents to open, including superhero Little People, and a push-airplane. He has loved them all so far!
A couple days before his birthday I was able to take Zane in for his one-year-old pictures. I think they turned out pretty cute!
