We did a lot of fun things in December to celebrate the Christmas season!
We visited Santa at his workshop (where some of us liked it more than others):
Hyrum told Santa he wanted a Bad Cop Lego set and Cora told Santa she didn’t know what she wanted for Christmas (she remembered to tell Santa she wanted an Elsa castle when we saw him again at the Children’s Museum though).
Even Grandma and Grandpa got to meet Santa with us!

Ryan put up some Christmas lights on our house- our first time ever as a married couple! The kids loved it, though Hyrum kept wanting us to have more Christmas decorations in our yard.
We put up our first tall Christmas tree in our first home:
We made and decorated sugar cookies for our neighbors and Santa:
We went to our branch Christmas party, which was Las Posadas themed (and my parents got to go to that too!). We followed Mary and Joseph around to different “Inns” where they were turned away, then ended up at a fun party with tacos, games, pinatas, and a talent show. Hyrum was very bummed that we hadn’t signed him up to perform in the talent show!
I got to help at Hyrum’s school Christmas party (here the kids are knocking down a Christmas tree made out of cups):
We decorated our own gingerbread house- the kids had a blast!
Then we went to the Trail Center where the kids saw lots of amazing gingerbread houses and we all saw a family in our branch sing some Christmas carols!
This is Zane’s favorite Christmas activity- playing with this singing soft toy. He signs “more” and points to it all the time, asking for its singing button to be pushed:
