As a family we went on a few outings in October. We went to Vala’s Pumpkin Patch one Saturday, which happened to be the same Saturday that the Huskers weren’t playing, so it was CROWDED. But we still had a lot of fun! We saw a magician, the pumpkin eating dragon, Ryan and Hyrum went through a “haunted house,” Ryan and the kids went through a mine, took lots of pictures:
Peddled our own little cars:
Played in a corn pit, the kids jumped on a jumping pillow:
Played some basketball, soccer, and baseball, went down a giant slide, went on a hay rack ride to the pumpkin patch:
Took more pictures:
Met a witch, raced some rubber ducks:
And went through the corn maze:
It was a great day with great weather, but we sure were tired and sunburned by the end!
In October I also took the kids to Lauritzen gardens, where we saw a lot of pretty flowers and greenery:
We also saw their “replica” of Mt. Fuji:
And the kids LOVED all the miniature trains!
My sister came to visit at the end of October, so we took her to the zoo:
We went on the Skyfari for the first time, and it was actually SO cool!
We went to the far end of the zoo we’ve never been to before, where the kids got to play in a helicopter and a jeep:
The baby sea lion decided to get up close and personal:
We got to see the tiger cubs and a cute baby orangutan:
The zoo also had some fun Halloween decorations up, which we definitely loved:
