We did some fun Christmas activities this December! The three older kids sang at the Mormon Trail Center, and though Zane caused a bit of a ruckus on stage, they all did mostly well:
I did a Christmas box at the beginning of December this year, and it had Christmas socks for everyone, a new advent calendar, and this color-in Santa’s workshop. The kids loved them all month long:
I got a new table runner made my Ryan’s mom!
The kids met Santa first at Cabela’s. Ivy and Zane were too scared to sit on Santa’s lap, and it took all my effort just to get them close enough for a picture (I wasn’t planning on being in it). All the kids couldn’t even seem to remember what they wanted to tell Santa!:
After meeting Santa, they each got a craft to do and a little stuffed penguin!
We did some service as a family, then we went out to ice cream!
I snuck off one evening to watch the first half of our high school’s production of White Christmas (it was great!):
Santa hat pictures (for an ornament craft we did later)!
It is so hard to get a normal picture of this kid:
We met Santa for the second time at the poinsettia show at Lauritzen Gardens (really, just Hyrum and Cora met Santa this time)!
Lots of pretty lights and flowers at Lauritzen Gardens. We went for my birthday celebration, and I thought it was pretty magical!
Third time meeting Santa- our ward party. This is actually the first time Zane wasn’t scared of Santa!
We also decorated gingerbread houses! Zane and Ivy made their first one at preschool. We were supposed to do this with the whole family with friends, but one of our kids got sick, so we did it alone (story of our lives lately!):
We made and delivered some Christmas treats as a family!
Christmas shirts!
I got to help at Hyrum’s Christmas party this year, and it was awesome to see him in his school environment!
So many fun activities! I think the best part of this season, though, was the service we did as a family. I’m grateful we made time for that!
