Sunday before Christmas! I love that I can still force everyone to match:
On Christmas Eve morning, we went to see the decorated Christmas windows at Midtown Crossing in Omaha. It was fun! Here were some of our favorites:
After seeing all the windows, we stopped in this cute little café for some hot chocolate, cookies, and delicious pastries:
That afternoon most of our family went to a friend’s house for delicious late lunch, but Zane randomly threw up so he and I stayed home. Luckily, he was feeling better later for our traditional acting out of the nativity. Cora was Mary (of course), Zane was a wise man, Ryan was Joseph, Ivy was the angel, Hyrum was a shepherd, and I was the narrator:
Then we opened our traditional Christmas Eve gifts of matching pajamas and ornaments. Ryan and I got a Branson ornament, Hyrum got a cat ornament, Cora got a gymnastics ornament, Zane got a Spiderman ornament, and Ivy got a Pinkalicious pink cupcake ornament.
Next morning the kids were ready for presents! Ryan got some beard ornaments:
From Santa, Ivy got a baby doll with stroller and crib, Cora got a digital camera, Zane got a big walking dinosaur, and Hyrum got two sets of Warriors books:
Bow hats:
The kids were pretty stoked that we also got a Switch!
The kids played with their presents the rest of the day:
We had a late lunch again, full of good food, too. Then we ended the day with our traditional Christmas Lights Scavenger Hunt. I actually did some pre-checking this year and made my own list, so I knew where everything was in the neighborhood
It was such a wonderful, low-key Christmas!
