Ryan and I got to go to “The Play That Goes Wrong” this month, and it was hilarious it was exhausting! My sister Mindi was in town then too and came with us, though she sat in the very front row in the very center!
Ivy and Zane got to come visit Cora’s classroom with me where they tried on these fun glasses:
Both Ryan and I voted!
Sleepy Zane:
It is rare that all four kids are having fun together, and it never lasts long, so it’s worth taking a picture when it does happen!
Snow babies! My kids definitely spend more time outside in the winter than in summer (it could have something to do with their fright of bugs):
I am one of the activity day leaders right now at church, and this month we made gingerbread houses to put on display at the Mormon Trail Center. Here’s the finished product:
Ivy loves babies! One in each arm is always preferred:
My kids look forward to leaf raking time all year long!
Ivy has discovered a love for wearing a little backpack around everywhere this month. She also has started to say that she needs to go potty when Zane needs to go potty, and even does a little potty dance while holding her diaper. She also loves the “hello, hello” song from primary and spent one shopping trip just singing “hello, hello” all through the store.
And she loves dress-ups!
Zane has really said some funny things this month:
I told Zane that he can get his own water, and he said, “I know, I’m just being a goober.”
Zane’s prayer: “We’re thankful we’re all healthy and not dead.”
Discussing his recent feces: “I like the really long ones. But they’re not good to eat.”
“I love that ice cream so much! Can I kiss it?”
“Those geese are making a broken A! They know words!
When I’m laying down with my eyes closed: (To Ivy) “She’s not dead.”
One Saturday, Cora bribed Zane to clean her room, and it worked. I was both impressed and disapproving.
We had a little stool out they were were getting rid of, and Ivy took to carrying it around all over the place so she could get into more mischief. She also loves carrying around my pitchers:
Cora always wants a tea party with Grandma Martin every time she comes to visit. Zane always wants to make “little guys” with Grandpa Martin every time he comes to visit (little guys= little wax action figures).
Ryan and I got to go on an early birthday date to the Cheesecake Factory while my parents were in town! I love that place, especially without kids.
We had a fun Thanksgiving this year! Zane learned about being thankful at preschool, which I taught this month, and Ivy joined in:
On Thanksgiving day we watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as usual, though this time I actually got to sit down and enjoy a bit of it:
Our table decorations!
Some of our local friends joined us for Thanksgiving this year, and we had a great time. They even brought a smoked turkey!
Here are our thankful leaves for this year:
Cora really enjoyed participating in this this year, so I think she ended up doing the most by far. She even helped Ivy with some! My favorite, from Cora: “thank you for makeing yummy dinner”.
