Schuetzler Reunion in SD- The Drive Home

It was a short reunion this year, so on the way home we decided to stop at Wall Drug and the Corn Palace.

Wall Drug is an interesting place, they advertise it on the highway from hundreds of miles away with hundreds of signs. Ryan had a good time yelling what was on the signs as we passed them so the kids would know what a cool place we were going to (the kids definitely didn't appreciate that).

Once we got there, the kids enjoyed checking out all the random stuff they have around:

Giant bunny:

Jackelope:

Our third Mt. Rushmore!

Animatronic T-rex:

Shooting gallery:

Their souvenirs (candy):

We drove some more, then stopped at the World's Only Corn Palace! It's not quite as cool as it sounds, but I'm glad we stopped or I would have always been curious! What makes it a corn palace is that it's a normal building, covered in corn cobs on the outside to make big pictures.

Pretty much every time we go anywhere, one of our kids is grumpy about it. This time, it happened to be Cora. She wouldn't smile for the picture:

Then Ryan made a joke to Cora, telling her to pretend she was having the worst time in the world while he took the picture, which made a nearby couple laugh and laugh, which made all our kids laugh:

Gotta eat Corny!

Overall, we had a great time at the reunion!
