Summer Fun 2019- Part 1

As usual, we made a summer fun list when school got out, and we've been making our way through the fun things!

Zane and Cora had summer camp at the Children's museum this year- Zane did a transportation camp (he's wearing a conductor hat and a train he made) and Cora did Kids in the Kitchen camp, where she made a new food every day, as well as other fun crafts:

Hyrum did a camp through the UNO Science Department this year. His camp was working on programming this Lego robot, and he had it do a bunch of cool things, like race, fight, go through a maze, and other things:

They had a family night as part of his camp where we got to see a scientist do a bunch of really fun and crazy experiments, like freezing a raquetball, making colored flames, and having flames go down a tube:

We also went to the zoo one day, where we saw the new Asia exhibit:

The gardens were pretty there too:

And of course, we had to visit the aquarium:

We also went to the restaurant where you can see into the jungle while you eat, which we've been wanting to try for forever:

Crazy drivers at the zoo!

We also went and picked some strawberries at the Bellevue Berry Farm (I think Ivy was the best picker):

We've been to the library a lot, and now they have this fun butterfly bench:

We had craft day, where we started with decorating some slime at Michael's:

When we got home we made tissue paper art and some squishy balls:

The kids loved having a water gun fight with each other!

We went to see Matilda the Musical with the older three kids:

Fort building:

Movie day (they even each got to pick a candy from the Dollar Store):

We started cooking camp already, with making some Pesto Pasta and cornbread:

We sure love summer and can't wait to do all the rest of the fun things we have planned!
