Ivy's 3rd Birthday

Ivy turned three this March, and we had a PJ Masks birthday party/playgroup to celebrate!

The kids got to decorate their bags for pinata candy and color pictures:

They could dress like superheroes:

They could try to throw the "sticky splat" balls into the bins:
We also did a PJ Masks themed 'bear hunt' type style poem that Ivy loved. They also got to keep Luna Girl's moon balls from touching the ground, and they eventually defeated Luna Girl (me). And everyone got some "sticky splat" to bring home:

Ivy insisted on getting an Owlette costume for her party, but when the time came she refused to wear it:

And so, here was what she wore to the party instead:

And Zane got to wear his Gekko shirt:

Decorations and the food, picked by Ivy:

Ivy loved getting sang to this year, but it took her forever to blow out her candles!

 We also had a pinata!

Ivy loved getting presents too. She even thanked Heavenly Father for days in her prayers that her friends could come to her party and bring her presents:

She loved them all, and right away wanted to sleep with her giant kittycorn:

On her actual birthday, we had plans to go to the zoo. However, with the threat of the corona virus looming, we decided against it and started our quarantine. Hence, it was an at-home birthday for Ivy, but I think she still loved it just the same!

Presents:

Cinnamon rolls for breakfast:

Lucky Ivy, we got 3 inches of snow the night before her birthday, so we got some fun playtime in the snow to celebrate her birthday!

We had quesadillas and ranch (she puts ranch on everything) for lunch, and we also had a "tea" party in her honor, since she REALLY loves tea parties:

We had pizza for dinner while we watched Frozen 2- she has been obsessed with Elsa for the past month and it had just come out for streaming, so we had to do it!

She wanted sprinkle cookies and strawberry ice cream for her birthday dessert, and I was happy to oblige!

She really loves babies, so these birthday gifts were a big hit:

She had a great birthday and we sure do love our little I! She's independent, spunky, silly, smart, and loves attention. She does not take chastisement well and generally wants her mommy. She loves singing, dancing, slides, babies, Frozen, coloring, parks, and playing games. We love our cute little three year old!
