We had a fun last two weeks of school (aka, remote learning)! We learned about marine birds and tried using some "beaks" to get some "fish":
We went on our walk this week back to Prairie Queen, this time going a different way and we had Daddy with us. It was so pretty, and it's amazing the difference a couple weeks makes in how green it was!
We went out onto this little peninsula in the lake where Ryan taught the kids how to skip rocks- and Cora and Hyrum could actually do it! Zane and Ivy just had a great time throwing rocks into the water. I enjoyed sitting and watching in the rain:
We finished our marine biology unit with some reports by each kid about a marine animal and a viewing of an ocean documentary.
The next week, instead of science or enrichment time, we did some at-home field day activities! They played Backboard Bank It and Bowl Ball:
They played Keep It Up with balloons:
And Fan-A-War:
And they did a Spoon Relay and a Tennis Shoe Tower game:
Then we celebrated the end of the school year with some Cold Stone ice cream, eaten outside far away from anyone!
It's been an interesting, difficult, rewarding, informative, and sometimes even fun time of remote learning, but I'm super glad for a break. On to summer fun!
