Christmas Activities Part 2

Grandma and Grandpa Martin came for a visit in mid-December, and we had a fun time decorating sugar cookies with them!

The kids also got to open their gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Martin while they were visiting, and they got some fun games!

Auntie Mindi also came for a short visit, and we all went to see the lights on Salem Pond and a house that had fun lights dancing to music (our favorite was Bangarang):

Someone in our neighborhood gave every house a bell to ring with instructions for everyone to ring them at the same time- it was fun to see a few of our neighbors out ringing bells with us!

Mindi brought some Christmas crackers that we had fun opening!

The few days before Christmas we did some Christmas activities at home (we can't do much else, because of Covid). We had a little Christmas party at home with just our family, where the kids did the snowman toss, we had a little gift exchange, we made some Christmas treats, and played a Christmas trivia game:
Very adorably, Cora and a neighbor friend put together a "Christmas Adam" party for our the little group of neighbor kids. They assigned out treats to bring, planned games, and everyone brought a white elephant gift for a gift exchange. Here they are mid-party:

We did get to see Santa at the Riverwoods one night (socially-distanced style):

We had a Grinch night at home one night, where Hyrum made these fun Grinch kabobs, we had green pancakes with sprinkles, and of course, watched the Grinch movie:

We did a lot of Christ-centered activities as well, including drawing illustrations for the story of Christ's birth from the Book of Mormon:
