Candlelight Christmas

A couple of days before Christmas we went to Candlelight Christmas at This is The Place in SLC with my parents and Mindi.

We started with a train ride through the little pioneer town:

We got a print of one of the first Christmas cards printed in Utah:

The kids made candles out of beeswax:

We got delicious mini donuts and chocolate milk:

We tried some square dancing:

We contributed to making a Christmas garland:
We learned about the 12 days of Christmas at a house of one of our ancestors, BF Johnson:

The kids got to write a letter to Santa, then send it to him by burning it in the fireplace:

The kids also got to meet Santa!

We also got some gingerbread cookies, a chocolate gold coin from Ebenezer Scrooge, a Christmas craft, and saw some old buildings. And I got to hang out with this guy:

It was a fun Christmas activity! I'm glad we checked it out.
