December 2021

We had a fun December! Here are the Google collages from the month:

We started the month with our December 1st bag. It had a mini mystery ornament for each kid for their tree, little hot chocolate Santas, and Christmas socks for everyone:

Little cutie at the mall:

Here's Cora with the Thanksgiving parade "float" she made at school:

We all went to one of Hyrum's swim meet this month! Some of us were more excited than others:

Decorating the Christmas tree:

Zane loves this huge baby Yoda he got from my parents for his birthday:
Cora had a parent showcase for cheer this month! Me and the boys got to go watch her:

She did great!
The kids all got a chocolate advent calendar from the primary this month that included activities/service to do for each day. It really kept them engaged and wanting to do the kind things!

We went on a Mommy/Ivy day to the Orem Family Fitness Center, where she played in the indoor playground and tested the climbing wall:

We got some great snow this month!

There was a lot of snow fort making, snowball fights, shoveling, and snow angel making:

The kids even went sledding in the little basin in our neighborhood:

Cora had her first cheer competition this month! She did awesome! We had to wait a few hours because they were way behind, but they pulled it out anyways!

The kids had a few holiday-themed dress-up days at school this month. It's pretty nice to be at a public school again where they can do that more freely. One of them was "white out" (like snow):
Another was Christmas hat day:
We did another Mommy/Ivy day at Coconut Cove:

The kids had their first Utah snow day this month! But now snow days are just remote-learning days :/, so that meant I was on tech-support all day:

We got to swim in my Aunt Karen's new pool this month! They keep it at 93 degrees, so it was plenty warm even though it was freezing outside.

Great dad right here:
The older three all sang a song in their school's holiday assembly, and it was fun to be able to watch them on Zoom!
Ryan grew out a mustache for no-shave November, and at the end of the month he took lots of pictures to document it before he shaved it off:

All the professors who grew a mustache in November took an awesome picture together:

And then one of the students took the picture, made it into a night light, and gave it as a white elephant gift, haha:
Ryan loves being able to work with fun students like that, and joking around.

Hyrum got the first of his promised archery trips this month, and almost split his first arrow with his second arrow!

The kids got a hover board for Christmas, and they've been LOVING it!
