We started December with a fun ride on the Polar Express!
We got to meet some elves on the train:
On the train, we also had some live music played for us, got to dance and sing a bit, got chocolate chip cookies, hot chocolate, and a train conductor put "believe" on our train tickets.
We made it to the Utah North Pole! We could see it lit up through the window:
Santa got on our train, where he gave us all a sleigh bell and a hot chocolate mug. Ivy and Hyrum got a Rudolph bell, Zane got a Blitzen bell, and Cora got a Dancer bell. It was a fun and unique experience!
For one of our Mommy and Ivy days, we went to the gingerbread festival at the mall. There were some cool ones:
We went to our ward's ugly sweater party/breakfast this month. It was great getting together with everyone.
Cora and Ivy also participated in the talent show with our neighbor by singing "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer," and ending it with a cheer stunt:
Ryan and I went on a double date with some friends to Luminaria this month. We started the night at a yummy Mexican place where Ryan got this yummy drink:
We loved seeing all the lights without whining kids!
Our family participated in a few Sub for Santa events, but just Cora and I went shopping for a few different kids through Vivint and then came back and wrapped them all up:
Our neighbors threw an ugly sweater party that we also attended. I made this festive pumpkin chocolate chip cake for it:
We had a great time there chatting, eating treats, ugly sweater contest, and Ryan and I won the Kahoot contest!
Ivy's dance class had a Christmas recital and we got to watch. Ivy did great!
She also got a fun gift from her teacher:
I was in charge of a big ol' combined primary activity this month, where we took around 30 kids caroling around the neighborhood, then ended with a cookie contest and hot chocolate:
We had some friends over for dinner and gingerbread house making one evening, and the kids had a great time!
We had a Grinch night one evening, where we ate Grinchy snacks and watched the Grinch!
We had a ton of fun all December just soaking up the holiday festivities!
