We got to celebrate Ryan's birthday in June! His birthday was on a Sunday this year, so we did some celebrating the day before. We went to a movie together as a family- we saw the new Spiderverse movie and it was great! We also went to lunch with Ryan's parents to Burgers Supreme and had a fun time with them:
On Ryan's birthday he got to open his presents, which included a SUP and a fun card that sings a birthday song about Cats in Space with laser eyes (Ivy picked that one out):
Ryan enjoyed licking the bowl for his birthday chocolate cake:
On Ryan's actual birthday, Mindi and Bryan and their family were in town, so they came over for a delicious lunch of carne asada tacos to celebrate:
And of course, we had a cheesecake party with friends and some family to celebrate this awesome guy:
I made three cheesecakes for the party: chocolate chip cookie dough, lemon blueberry, and Biscoff:
The kids made Ryan some fun ties with things they love about him on them at church:
Ryan got some fun new dress shirts and a hammock for gifts:
I wrote this on Instagram in honor of the day: For the dad who reads to his kids at night, will willingly become the target for 100 water balloons, lets his girls do his hair, encourages his kids to do hard things, makes tall snow structures for his kids to destroy, coaches and officials their sports, and loves his kids and wife with his words and actions: Happy Father's Day!
