Hyrum's 14th Birthday

We got to celebrate Hyrum's 14th birthday in October! He started the day with breakfast in bed (crepes and chocolate milk):

Then he opened his presents, which included a 3D Pen, a moon lamp, some books and some Legos:

 

Grandma and Grandpa Martin even got to be there on his birthday morning!

After school Hyrum went to swim team, where he got to do his "birthday swim"- which is where he swims a 50 Fly while his team makes waves at him.

At home we had a beach-themed table for his birthday dinner of smoked pork loin, crockpot mac and cheese, and garlic bread:

We loved singing to Hyrum! He chose a pumpkin chocolate chip cake:

He had his birthday party later that week with some of his friends at Provo Beach. They had some pizza for lunch:

They had a great time and I was glad to get to celebrate my wonderful son!

Happy birthday to this wonderful teen! Hyrum is funny and fun to be around, loves learning and loves to read, always trying to make good choices, loves to tease, a good brother and friend, and just an all around great kid. We're so grateful he's in our family and we had fun celebrating him for the few hours he was home on his birthday and at his party later!
