November 2023

These kids have grown so much in the past few years!

Our family went to a Friendsgiving in November at a neighbor's house, and Ivy helped me make an apple pie for it:

We had fun at the Friendsgiving with so many friends!

I also went to to a GNO Friendsgiving at a different friend's house, and that was super fun too:

We took the kids to get their passports one afternoon, and the fall leaves were so pretty we just had to take a picture:

Ivy celebrated 50's day at school this month by dressing in a poodle skirt:

The Orem temple open house started this month, and we took the kids' cousins to go see it (it's so beautiful!):

After the temple visit, Ryan took all the kids to Cinnaholic for some delicious cinnamon rolls:

A different day Ryan and I got to help at the Orem temple open house by directing the parking and getting people onto the shuttles. Since I had more time, I was also able to be an usher at the open house two different days. I loved being able to be in and serve in this special place that has felt so much like "mine" as we've seen it being built from the ground up as we passed it hundreds of times over the past few years. I can't wait to serve in that beautiful place once it is dedicated! This has really been a special experience for our family, especially since Hyrum and Cora also got to help- they both were able to help put on shoe coverings for people entering the open house. One friend even sent me a picture of Hyrum serving at the open house:

We were able to have Ryan's BYU students in our home one night this month for some pie and socializing. The students at BYU really are amazing, and we feel grateful that Ryan gets to help them along in their journey:

Me, Ryan, Zane, and Ivy were able to go to a late night football this month. We started with some fun at the tailgate area:

I love how pretty the Y is all lit up at night:

Gotta have snacks and a cougartail at every game:

Zane started volleyball this month! He did a really great job, and even started to serve pretty well by the end of the season:

The kids had their piano concert this month! This was Zane and Ivy's first piano concert ever, and it's been years since Hyrum and Cora had one either, so it was fun to watch them perform! I am one proud mama of these cuties. Here they are with their new teacher:

Zane had fun opening his geodes from one of his birthday presents:

Ryan and I went to Gourmandise for dessert one date night, and we got this fun peach flavored pastry that looks like a peach!

We took the kids to a local high school's production of Frozen this month, and it was a really good show! The kids enjoyed watching it too:

The kids love playing in the snow on the trampoline:

Ryan did another Master's swim meet this month. He drove up with some swim team friends, and they all did such a great job!

Ryan took Cora, Hyrum, and Hyrum's friend to the last football game of the season (since we had Zane's birthday party in the middle of the game):

We were totally supposed to lose that game, but BYU hung in there and made it a very exciting, though ultimately disappointing game:

Ryan waited in his office for awhile while they waited for the traffic to clear out after the game:

We had a great month spending time with family and friends, and we loved remembering all the things we are grateful for!
