Thanksgiving 2023

For Thanksgiving this year we went to Garden City, Utah with a lot of the Schuetzler clan. We started off Thanksgiving day with food prep and parade watching:

Mid-morning we went on a little Turkey Trot as a family:

Some of us went a little further to see the tiny lighthouse near the house we rented:

Our trot had a pretty view of the country:

After the turkey trot, and the whole weekend, we played plenty of games like Bananagrams and Trash:

We did some Thanksgiving crafts, played Thanksgiving Bingo, did some Thanksgiving charades, and even played Jackbox games with the rest of the Schuetzlers who couldn't be with us for Thanksgiving:

Dinner was delicious!

The day after Thanksgiving we tried to go to the mountains for some sledding, but it was snowing too much and it made the roads too scary for us to get there. So, we just stopped at a lookout and played in some super deep snow instead:

Zane made a little cave:

There was a beautiful view up there:

Some of our group hadn't brought snow boots, so the kids made a packed trail for them:

Once we got back to the house, Zane and Cora tried to sled on the tiny dirt hill by the house, but it didn't really work very well:

Zane didn't seem to mind the cold all that much- he even ran around outside with no jacket and no shoes:

Most of us girls did some boxer braids on the last day!

We ended the trip with a family stop at Costco on our way home. Nothing like a cheap lunch and cheap gas!

We had a fun and chill Thanksgiving, and we were glad to be able to spend it with so much family!
