November was a fun month!
These kids have grown so much so quickly:
Hyrum does a lot of fun things with his high school swim team, like helping out a distribution center for those in need with his high school swim team:
They have fun chants at their meets:
And dinners before every meet:
Ivy made this fun poster in her computer class:
Zane got to sing at a Native American celebration night for his elementary school one night:
The kids got new vests for their treatments this month, and they needed them! Ivy's old vest on top, her new vest on the bottom:
We voted this month!
I helped organize a service project this month for work that ended up having over 50 volunteers, including both BYU students and community members. We cleaned up two community gardens that help people grow their own food!
Zane made caramel apples for a primary activity this month and he loved it!
Both Zane and Ivy entered the PTA Reflections contest this fall, and they both did so great! The theme was "Accepting Imperfections," and Zane made a sculpture and Ivy choreographed a dance. We got to celebrate them at an open house at the elementary school this month:
We went to the Vocal Point concert as a family this month, and Hyrum was especially in heaven, though we all enjoyed it:
Ivy got a hold of someone's camera while we waited for the concert to start:
Hyrum bought himself a hat and a poster at the Vocal Point concert and was able to get them signed by the group!
Silly kiddos:
Tricia had a close friend pass away this month, but it was so great to have her Relief Society presidency support her and her friend's family throughout the whole thing. Here are they are, making the dinner after the funeral a success and a comfort to the family of her friend:
Another friend made some flowers for the family for the funeral, and she did a beautiful job:
Grandma and Grandpa Martin visited us this month, and they got to see Zane play a volleyball game:
They also took Tricia out to a fancy lunch at the Cheesecake Factory for her birthday:
They took Zane and Hyrum out to lunch and birthday shopping too. They got Zane a bunch of cool stuff, including a fart gun:
Hyrum got chosen by his orchestra director to be in an Honor Orchestra for the school district this month, and he did a great job!
Grandma and Grandpa Martin got to come watch him perform too:
He got a picture with the guest conductor, who is also a composer!
And... Hyrum got dared by his friends to ride this statue at the school where they performed and he went for it:
The kids were being silly marching around on a bench when we went to ice cream after the concert:
My dad, my uncle, me, Ryan, Zane, and Ivy got to go to a BYU football game together this month! It was cold, but we won!
Zane got to sit courtside at a women's basketball game this month for his primary activity and he loved getting to high-five Cosmo:
Ivy drew this cute turkey picture at school this month:
Ryan and I tried our first pottery class for a date this month! Ryan was a natural, but Tricia needed a bit more help:
The kids all had their piano concert this month! It was actually on Zane's birthday, but he was a good sport and didn't mind too much. They all did such a great job!
Their teacher is so nice!
The kids made some big bubbles with Zane's bubble wand he got for his birthday:
I got to attend a Friendsgiving this month at a friend's house and it was a lot of fun:
Cora is learning to do her own hair for cheer! Here's her first attempt:
I got to go to dinner for a friend's birthday this month and we had a blast together:
Hyrum had a bunch of swim meets this month, both for his high school team and his club team. He even got a qualifying time for state in the 200 fly at one of his club meets!
Zane tried eating his sandwich with a fork and knife one lunchtime to try to be "proper":
Silly Ryan:
Ryan and Hyrum got to go to the last BYU home football game of the season in some nice seats provided by Ryan's work! There was also a cool drone show at the game:
It was a great month with a lot of fun and celebrations!
