Christmas Activities 2024

We had a lot of fun doing Christmas activities all month long! We kicked it off with our December 1st bag that had advent calendars and matching pajamas in it:

We decorated our Christmas tree together, but the pre-lit tree lights were broken, so we ended up taking hours to take off the broken lights and clips:

Then we bought some fancy lights that are controlled by an app and make fun patterns for our tree:

Zane got to sing at the Vineyard tree lighting for choir this month, and he did a great job (Ivy had to miss it for dance):

Zane and Ivy had their choir Christmas concert, and they were both amazing!

Zane even had a solo in the song, "Angels Among Us," and he did SO good!

Ivy's dance team performed at the Festival of Trees:

It was fun to go around afterwards to see all the trees and gingerbread houses. We found a tree that each of us would like:

Hyrum's music tree:

Ivy's Bluey tree:

Zane's baseball hat tree:

Daddy's rubber duck tree:

Cora liked a light purple tree, and I liked so many of them! We were also given some free tickets to the kids' corner, where Ivy met Rapunzel before the fire alarm went off and we had to leave the Festival:

Ryan got into the Christmas spirit by playing Santa for our friend:

Hyrum had a very busy week with orchestra concerts during December, that he called his "orchestra tour." The first night he had a long practice then a concert with the Mountain View orchestra:

The second night was the regular Orem Jr concert:

The third day was getting taken out of school to perform at two local elementary schools. Hyrum did a great job performing at all of his concerts that week!

Cora had a church activity to do a scavenger hunt at the Riverwoods, where she met Santa:

I took all the kids to see "A Christmas Story: The Musical" one weekend when Ryan was in Thailand. We all really enjoyed it and have since watched the movie at home!

Me and the three younger kids went to our ward's Christmas party (Ryan was in Thailand and Hyrum had a swim meet). We had a delicious breakfast and watched some ward kids act out the nativity:

Here's Ivy with her bestie at the party:

Zane and Ivy had a Christmas Sing at their elementary school, and it was fun to watch them sing their school songs with their classes!

I helped in Zane's party at school later that day, where we played a "dress the snowman" game:

Cora had a fun little Christmas party at cheer:

All the kids met Santa and we picked some things to give at The Giving Machine at the mall:

Ivy had a Christmas dance recital where she did so great again! The boys all watched her earlier show, and me and Cora watched her afternoon show:

We got our first ever holiday blow-up decoration to join our neighborhood in matching blowups:

We went to a Filipino Christmas party put on by a friend of mine from my gym class, and it was cool to see!

We made some fun Christmas treats this month, like ham and cheese Christmas trees:

Santa pancakes:

Christmas muffin tin snack:

Grinch snacks for our annual Grinch night:

We decorated gingerbread houses too. Hyrum put pretty much all of his effort into making this little snowman, with a face etched into a Smartie:

Zane's gingerbread houses/condo:

Tricia's Twizzler house:

Cora's cozy cabin:

Ivy's hexagon house, full of love (with help from Ryan):

We did a Christmas escape room and saved Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas Sunday with a beautiful Christmas program:

We had so many fun Christmas activities this December, it's a little sad to see it go!
