We had a very fun Halloween this year! We sure love to decorate for it:
Love these skeletons and pumpkins!
We tried out trick or treating at the Children’s Museum this year for the first time and had fun!
Ryan got to be the Mystery Reader for Cora’s kindergarten class a few days before Halloween, so he dressed up like a mad scientist to read some spooky books:
Our playgroup had a fun little Halloween party one morning, and this is how the two littles dressed up for it:
Playing games at the party (where Zane also decorated cookies and played a little Halloween bingo):
He got a little treat bag at this playgroup party that included a new toothbrush, and he loved it so much he took a nap with it that day:
We also went to our friend’s annual pumpkin carving party and the kids’ elementary’s Halloween party. Both were fun!
We had Batman themed costumes for the family this year, and I’m so glad everyone agreed to it! I was Harley Quinn (from Suicide Squad), Ivy was Poison Ivy, Cora was Lego Batgirl, Zane was Robin, Hyrum was Lego Batman, and Ryan was Alfred:
Cora’s spider hat she made at school:
Pumpkin carving!
Ryan did a scene from the kids’ favorite video game, Stick Fight, for his pumpkin. I did a Batman symbol to go along with our costumes:
Halloween morning we had ghost chocolate chip pancakes and “Boo” pancakes:
I got to help in Cora’s class for her Halloween party! The whole school did a costume parade first, then they had the class parties. Cora dressed like Cinderella for her school party since she couldn’t get her batgirl costume on by herself.
Here she is pumpkin bowling, getting wrapped like a mummy, and wrapping her teacher like a mummy!
I also got to sneak into Hyrum’s room to see him doing his Halloween craft for his party:
At home we made spider pepperoni pizzas for dinner:
Then I took Hyrum, Cora, and Zane trick or treating in the snow! It wasn’t really that cold, and the snow looked really pretty. Zane refused to wear his gloves though, so his hands got really, really cold.
Here the kids are checking out their loot afterwards:
And little Ivy had a great time hanging out with Daddy at home handing out candy:
