Halloween Activities- Part One

Even with Covid, we still managed to have some socially distanced Halloween fun this year! We went to a local pumpkin patch/fall fair on a weekday afternoon and it hardly had any other people there!

It was fun to see the animals (especially since Ivy had been learning about the farm in preschool):

They had this fun slide:

There was a mini corn maze:

They had a few rides too, including this swing one that Hyrum and Cora kept riding over and over:

The littles were too scared for the swing ride, so they watched while "riding" some critters:

We all liked the small ferris wheel:

Never thought I'd be wearing a mask at a pumpkin patch, but here we are:
Zane and Ivy loved this ride, called Fruit Salad, and I rode it with them multiple times:
We did the corn maze, where we were actually lost for a bit. Turns out if you go earlier in the season it's much more of a challenge!
We also did the hay ride, which Ivy looked forward to a lot:
The older three braved the Dust Devil ride right before we were leaving:

We bought some small pumpkins and cotton candy to top off our fun experience!

We also went to the Scarecrow Festival at the gardens at Thanksgiving Point, and it was cool to see all the different scarecrows people came up with!
Minions:
Sofia the First (Ivy's favorite):
Anna, Elsa, and Olaf:
Room on the Broom (my favorite):
Chick-fil-a scarecrow:
Dragon and a knight:
Minecraft creeper scarecrow:
Pokemon scarecrows (Cora and Zane's favorites):
Plants Vs. Zombies (Hyrum's favorite):
And then the kids got to roll down the hill at the end!

Grandma and Grandpa Martin bought some Halloween cookies for the kids to decorate when they visited in October, and the kids had fun with them:

Ivy got to wear her costume to dance during the week before Halloween:

Zane loved the spider sandwiches I made for him the week of Halloween:

We went to a trick-or-treating drive-thru in Provo (with Dallen and his friend) since we couldn't do any trunk or treats this year:

Spooky dinners:

The kids' pumpkins they painted:
Even though things were different this year, we still were able to have a lot of fun for Halloween!
