October was pretty good this year- though Covid is getting a lot worse here in Utah, we were still able to do some enjoyable things.
Here's Google's then and nows:
March 2018 and October 2020:
Hyrum- January 2018 and October 2020:
Silly cuties:
The kids got to "do" Ryan's hair for part of General Conference this year:
We did F for Farm for preschool one week, and Ivy LOVED "milking" the "cow," washing dirty farm animals, and gathering the "sheep" into the pen:
For some reason, the kids wanted to lap up this chocolate milk from a plate like a cat one evening:
Silly faces:
Ivy's fashion choices are pretty unique sometimes, and I love it:
I've started to go running once a week to change up my exercise routine, and running by the nearby Utah Lake can be so beautiful:
My parents came to visit this month! It was super quick, but really nice to see them after so long. They took the boys out birthday shopping, had two tea parties with the kids, played games with them, and my dad even jumped on the trampoline with the kids!
We went on a hike this month to Grotto Falls in Payson. There was still some fall left, and it was beautiful!
It was fun to have to cross the creek on some logs and rocks a few times:
A small, but fun waterfall!
The kids had fun throwing the leaves at each other and in the air:
I made a few caramel apples this year for friends, as is traditional for me:
There was a fire in Orem this month on the mountains, and though it is sad how much damage it caused, Ryan and the kids loved watching the planes trying to take care of it.
One Sunday afternoon we even drove closer to get a better look, and there was another couple in the parking lot we stopped at checking it out as well. They let the kids use their binoculars and listen to the radios of the planes- it was so cool! Hyrum said that was the coolest thing we've done in Utah so far.
I for Ice cream week for preschool had a lot of fun activities- painting with ice cubes, catch the ice cream scoop (aka balloon), release the letters from the ice cubes, and make your own ice cream in a bag!
Zane loves it when his pajamas match his bunny's Spiderman outfit:
We got a fun visit from Papa and Bonnie this month! They brought yummy cookies and it was fun talking to them and Dallen:
The kids call this the hair brushing chain (and it's starting to become a Sunday morning tradition):
We haven't been doing "Sunbeams standing up" for awhile since the older kids got so big, but Ryan pulled it out for all the kids for FHE this month:
We try to read chapter books to the kids right before bedtime every night, though it usually only ends up being a couple nights a week. Right now I'm reading The Little House in the Big Woods to them. Here's Zane's view of how it goes down:
H for Halloween week for preschool- making a witch's brew by following the recipe and mummy bowling (I only take pictures of a few of the activities we do- we actually do about 5 things/per day for three days a week)!
