Hyrum's 11th Birthday

Hyrum had a fun birthday this year!

Age eleven was supposed to be a big birthday party year, but due to Covid and moving, that wasn't able to happen. So, we decided to do a mobile gaming den party with the neighbors they play with outside every day anyways, and we did it the day before his real birthday. It was fun! All the kids could play something different and Hyrum liked trying out some different video games that we don't already own.

It was cool because you could play inside or outside:

After the gaming, we had pizza and cupcakes in our backyard. Hyrum wanted a Pokemon birthday (again), so we added fun little toys on top of each cupcake:

Present opening time!

On his actual birthday, he got breakfast in bed (crepes):

He needs an extra hand to count how old he is now!

Morning of opening birthday presents:

He got HP and Mario legos, Mario Odyssey, Pokemon cards, a Nerf gun, candy, new shoes, and a few new books.

Ivy helped make Hyrum's birthday cake while he was at school (where they sang to him and his teacher gave him a gift):

For lunch he got Texas Roadhouse, then he spent the afternoon playing Minecraft online with his friends from Nebraska. For dinner we had homemade tortillas, popcorn chicken, and strawberries (his choice). Aunt Mindi was even able to come celebrate with him this year since she lives so close!

We ended the night with his chocolate bundt cake, Oreo ice cream, and more video games!

Happy birthday to my not-so-little dude! His feet are already bigger than mine, and he only needs to grow a few more inches until he's taller than me too. He's creative, stubborn, smart, responsible, and a kind big brother. We love him so much and are glad he's ours!
