We had a great November! Here are Google's Then and Nows this month that I loved:
Ivy really loved this scarecrow guy that I got out to decorate for Thanksgiving and called him her buddy all month:
Zane built some stuffed animal sculptures this month that he wanted to make sure we got pictures of:
Cora's teacher is from the Navajo nation, so she taught her class how to make fry bread at school one day, and then we fried it up at home. It was delicious!
Cora (and I) finished her volleyball season this month with a win! Cora did great and improved a lot in her time playing!Ryan started training to be an official at swim meets, and now he even gets to dress like a ref as he shadows other officials:Cora got to sing the national anthem in Navajo at a Utah Valley University basketball game this month! All of 5th grade was invited to do it in honor of Native American heritage month, and we got to go to the game for free!
The kids got to meet the UVU mascot, Willy the Wolverine:
Cora did a great job and it was fun to watch her and the game!
Zane wrestled in his first official tournament this month, and he got 2nd! He loves his medal:
Sleepy and cutie Ivy:
I had the opportunity to help organize and facilitate our stake's service day this month! I volunteered to help as part of a project for the Isaiah class I was taking at BYU. It was a lot of work, but it turned out great. I was amazed and humbled by the willingness of the people around me to give and to serve others around the world as we made kits for refugees:
Zane finally read enough books to earn his date from this summer, so I took him to the Rush at the Orem mall and to lunch. He loved the arcade games:
He liked the laser tag, bowling, and mini golf too:
And he played in the foam pit:
Ryan finally hung up his diplomas in his office! I have had his diplomas framed and ready to hang since he started his first real job 7.5 years ago, and this is the first time he's actually hung them up. It was a momentous occasion, so I had to take a picture:
Sweet big brother Hyrum:
Zane had an intrasquad wrestling match this month and he did awesome- he won all three bouts!
When I took Zane on his date, these four went to the last home football game of the season. They had fun:
Then they went to an El Salvadorian place for some papusas- and all the kids liked them!
That same weekend we took Grandpa Schuetzler and the whole gang to a Grizzlies' hockey game in honor of Paul's birthday in December. It was mine and our kids' first hockey game, and it was a bit crazy to see all the aggression, but it was fun!
The kids still love doing Ryan's hair whenever he'll let them:
