We had two Thanksgivings this year, which I hear is pretty common in Utah ;)
Our first Thanksgiving was up in Logan with the Jubitz family (Grandma Schuetzler's family). I think the total count was 58 people! We had fun catching up with extended family, eating good food, and playing games:
The night after the feast we stayed at a hotel in Logan with an indoor swimming pool and water slide, and the kids had a blast!
The next morning we hung out at Cindy and Paul's rented townhome, then went to the Logan temple with the Jubitz clan:
We had a fun weekend hanging out with so much family, and felt lucky to be living somewhere close to where people want to gather!
The last day of school before Thanksgiving I got to help in Ivy and Zane's classrooms for their Thanksgiving celebrations. Ivy had a pie tasting for her party, and I was in charge of Bingo in Zane's class:
On actual Thanksgiving day, we started the morning with a turkey trot around the neighborhood. Grandma and Grandpa Schuetzler and some friends joined us!
Dallen joined us later, then we spent the morning cooking, watching the parade, and snacking:Thanksgiving dinner was great!
The kids enjoyed making some Oreo turkeys to go with our dessert:
Then it was chill time, and the kids kept entertained with Dallen's phone:
We worked all month to be thankful, and wrote down lots of things to be thankful for on our leaves:
Some of my favorites were: My funny mom and dad (from Cora), space (from Zane), art and drawing (from Hyrum), and be happy (from Ivy). And there were a lot of Hawaii's on there :)
Zane got to draw the Thanksgiving picture on the chalkboard, so here is the turkey he drew with some scarecrows inside a bid scarecrow:
We had a great Thanksgiving and I was grateful to celebrate it!
