While we were in Las Vegas, Zane and Ivy wanted to make sure we went to the Strat to see where Dude Perfect had done one of their tallest trick shots:
Then we went to Omega Mart, a weird, interactive space where we spent a few hours trying to figure out a mystery about a missing girl and the weird runoff of a company:
Omega Mart starts like a weird grocery store, then you can find passageways into the way more weird stuff behind it:
The area around Omega Mart, Area 15, was also interesting and had some fun sculptures to take pictures with:
The kids enjoyed time at the timeshare's amenities pretty much every night:
The next day we went to the Springs Preserve, which had a bunch of different museums where we learned about the beginnings of Las Vegas, its animals, natural resources and its water:
This was the coolest part of the whole museum- they had a pretend flash flood show that would come through every 15 minutes or so. We watched it a few times it was so cool! Ivy accidentally dropped her hat into the flash flood area before the show began one time, so Ryan picked her up and lowered her over the railing to grab her hat right before all the water came rushing down again. She was scared, but she did it!
We got lunch at a restaurant there, and it had a cool view of the Strip and was amazing food!
This was the water museum:
This was the little historical town they have there:
After the Springs Preserve, we stopped at Creamberry, which happened to be another highlight of the trip. They had so many crazy and huge treats there, that we were all able to get something extra cool:
Zane got their signature treat- a cotton candy ice cream burrito. It was a TON of cotton candy surrounding a few scoops of ice cream and a few scoops of candy he picked. It was huge, but Zane almost finished it all!
I got a Korean french toast I've been wanting to try:
Ivy got a ginormous strawberry shaved ice with real strawberries and strawberry boba:
Cora got a cookies and cream macaron ice cream sandwich:
Ryan got a Biscoff bubble waffle with ice cream:
Hyrum got cookies and cream rolled ice cream:
It was all delicious, and all special.
The next day we drove to St. George for Cora's cheer competition. While she was at her competition with Ryan, me and the other three kids went to Pioneer Park to climb the rocks:
They had an old house there in the rocks that the kids enjoyed playing in:
Ivy loves her selfies:
The view from Dixie Rock was beautiful:
Then we picked up Ryan and Cora at the competition to get some dinner. We ended up going to a steakhouse down the street, and it was delicious. The kids meals came in these fun cars:
Ryan and Hyrum got an enormous steak to share there too:
Then Cora had to go back to the competition for the awards, so I took the other kids to go check out the new Red Cliffs temple. It is so pretty!
The kids wanted a lot of jumping shots:
Then we went to the famous Pinkbox where we got delicious and fun donuts for everyone:
Cora did great at her competition! Her team got first place!
After the competition, we drove home the next day, listening to General Conference in the car. It was a fun trip, and I always love any time spent with our family!
