4th of July 2025

We loved celebrating Independence Day with family this year!

Our kids love the 4th of July muffin tin snack:

The Monday before the 4th, we celebrated at our city's celebration with fireworks:

Grandma and Grandpa Schuetzler, Maren and Andrew, and Cami and Dallen all came to celebrate the actual 4th of July with us, and it was so fun!

We started the morning at Colonial Fest in Orem, where we all learned a lot about how people lived in colonial times during the revolution. The kids all helped ink up a printing press:

Ivy helped put a bucket together and Zane made some rope:

Inside the Scera they had a replica of what would have been used to carry people around back in colonial times:

Hyrum and Zane pretending to sign the Declaration of Independence:

They always put up so many cool flags in front of the Scera!

When we got home we had a water balloon fight!

We had delicious BBQ for dinner, and ended the night blowing off some fireworks and watching our neighbor's fireworks. It was such a fun night!

The next day we hiked to the giant flag over the canyon in Pleasant Grove. It was hotter and further than we thought, but it was still cool to see!

They had displays of all 50 flags which was also cool to see!

After the hike we got ice cream at CreamWorx with everyone, and it was of course, delicious!

Always sad to say goodbye, but we loved celebrating with everyone! I'm so grateful to live in America!
