July 2025

July was a great month, full of lots of summer fun!

We had fun celebrating Pioneer Day this month! We had a pioneer-ish meal of quick bread and beans, and some pioneer games:

We also went and played laser tag on Pioneer Day with some friends:

Then we did some leftover sparklers with our neighbors:

We finally finished our puzzle that we worked on for weeks- this was way harder than we expected, but every kid helped!

We went to the Dude Perfect tour as a family, and it was so fun! The girls wanted matching hairstyles for the show:

Zane and Ivy got high fives from Panda, and got to be so close to Tyler!

We loved ending the night in some confetti rain:

Ryan took Hyrum and Cora to The Play That Goes Wrong with some of his swim friends, and our kids thought it was hilarious and the best thing ever:

While the big kids were at the play, I took Zane and Ivy to dinner at Golden Corral and to the movie Elio:

Family bike ride down to the Lindon marina:

Ivy earned her date with Ryan this month, so they went to Provo Beach and got Roxberry smoothies afterwards:

Hyrum went to swim camp this month at BYU, and he loved it! He said he learned a lot and wrote it all down so that he can work on it all year until the next swim camp.

A picture of what Ivy thinks her face is like when Hyrum is driving her in the car (he's actually getting to be a just fine driver):

Zane did a pickleball clinic this summer, and though he missed it a lot for swim team, vacations, and camps, he had a great time when he was there!

Hyrum's garden grew a bunch of stuff this month! On the left is the first zucchini he got, on the right was one of many harvests this month!

Ivy's sunflower grew a ton too!

Cora went to cheer camp this month and had a good time, though she says she didn't learn anything:

All of the cheer camp kids did a routine for the parents at the end of camp, and it was fun to see Cora perform, even in the crazy heat:

New cheer friends!

Hyrum competed at Senior State this month, and he did so good! He even made it to finals for his 200 fly and got faster in almost all of his events!

Zane got to go to his teacher's wedding reception this month:

Ivy has loved making these little melty bead crafts this summer:

The girls have "sister time" most Sundays, and one Sunday this month they did each other's makeup and they looked so beautiful:

The kids are still loving the .5 perspective on the camera:

I took the kids to Jurassic Quest at Thanksgiving Point this month for their first time, and they all really enjoyed it! Doing a little quest made it extra fun for the big kids:

They loved ice cream from the new Ice Age Creamery too:

Cinnaholic had a good deal on cinnamon rolls this month, so of course we had to head over:

Hyrum had a fun Capture the Flag activity this month:

Cora had some fun Young Women's activities too this month- Farmer's Market and water games:

Fun times at the park:

I took the kids to the All-Abilities park in Spanish Fork this month and they had a blast until the water turned off for its daily cleaning time (that we did not know about ahead of time):

Ryan and I ended a date just watching a big rainstorm at the park this month, and it was magical and amazing:

We did an Escape Room as a family called Grandpa's Attic- everyone did great and we made it out in time!

I took Cora on her date this month, which started off with brunch at TruReligion, gettings nails done, then back to school shopping, and ended with a delicious treat from CreamWorx:

Zane continued swim lessons this month, and Ivy did some group swim lessons this month too at the same time:

We went on a hike with some friends to Primrose Overlook this month, and the view was amazing!

I bought this plant at Costco this month, and it grew so much! It also reminded me of a favorite Van Gogh painting:

I hosted my book club this month, and we read Tom Felton's autobiography. That book club was also held on Harry Potter's birthday, so I went for some fun HP treats! Homemade pumpkin pasties (which were amazing), chocolate frogs, Bertie Bott's Beans, butterbeer, and a birthday cake for Harry (Cora did the lettering):

It was a great month!
