April 2026

April was another super crazy month- full of competitions and performances. I love seeing my kids show their talents!

Cora had another cheer competition where both teams did amazing!

She didn't want her picture taken at lunch with Ryan:

Ivy has stolen her friend's dad's breakfast before (waffles with whipped cream), and she wanted to let him know how much she appreciates it:

The littles love doing Ryan's hair!

Zane was in his school's Wax Museum this month, and he chose to be Albert Einstein. He did a great job and was so cute!

Zane and Ivy had their choir concert this month. They both did great, and Zane had a solo where one of my friends said he has the voice of an angel!

Their concert had a few Disney songs, so Ivy got to wear some Minnie Mouse ears for it:

Choir friends!

Here's their wonderful music teacher, Mrs. Steggell:

The next day, Zane had his orchestra concert. He did great with that too!

Orchestra friend:

We watched General Conference together for one day before we left for Ireland. It really is a special time to be together and hear from a prophet:

And usually some of us fall asleep:

Hyrum got asked to MORP this month, but unfortunately he wasn't able to actually go because he was really sick the day of the dance.

Artist Awards dance competition for Ivy this month. She did great!

It was fun to see some of her friends from her old dance studio at the competition!

We got some crepes as a special treat after her competition, and we decided to bring Zane along:

Cutie sleepy boys:

After months of practice, Hyrum played in the pit orchestra for his high school's musical this month- Oklahoma! The week of the shows and the week before were really intense for Hyrum, but he LOVED it and it was one of his favorite things he did in high school this year:

We enjoyed coming to watch him and writing him little "good job" notes:

Ivy went to LADM this month, which was both a competition and a convention in Provo. They were long days, but she had a lot of fun! Here's the competition:

And the convention:

This lady is the founder of LADM! And she taught them one of the convention classes:

The last night we had to stay and watch the competition showcase, and it was near 11 pm, so Ivy started almost falling asleep:

I was in charge of the graduation reception at my job this month, and it turned out really well! Some of our student employees graduated, so it was fun to celebrate them as well as the minors in our program:

Hyrum had his UVRays short course award ceremony this month- and he got the Swimmer of the Year award for his High School Champs swim team! He really did have a great season and we are so proud of him:

Hyrum had his final orchestra concert of the school year this month (except for playing at graduation), and he did amazing!

Cora got to go to Women's Conference with her YW group this month! They learned wonderful things.
