Ivy turned 9! We had her home-cooked dinner the Sunday before her birthday, since Ryan and Cora were going to be out of town on her actual birthday. Uncle Dallen and Aunt Cami came too!
She picked alfredo, homemade noodles, garlic bread, apple cars, mini cucumbers, and strawberry lemonade:
For her cake she picked a cinnamon roll cake with fruit toppings- it actually turned out SO good!
The day before her birthday I took her out of school to go to lunch at Golden Corral:
Then it was her actual birthday!
Ivy went with me to the party store to pick her own balloons (she also helped make her own cinnamon roll cake):
Presents! She got Crocs, fake Uggs, a sticker maker, a Labubu keychain, and more:
Her favorite gift was this realistic baby doll that has been carried all over the house since:
Later that day we took one of Ivy's best friends to go get a pedicure:
They also got to play with a puppy:
Then everyone who was in town, plus Ivy's bestie, went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse:
Ivy loved sitting on the saddle and getting sung to!
Then I took her and her best friend to a special ice cream place that makes big ol' ice cream sundaes:
The next morning Ivy got breakfast in bed- puffy pancakes with lots of fruit:
It was spread out, but she got to do a lot of fun things for her birthday this year!
Happy birthday to my baby girl! I can't believe how much she has grown up this past year. Ivy is a friend to those who have none, learning to stand up for herself, smart, always dancing (even when she should be getting ready for school), and a planner who loves to be involved in the details. She loves friends, being with Mom no matter what I'm doing, berries, Crocs, dance, sweatshirts and sweatpants, and crafting as much as possible. We love her so much and loved celebrating her!
